We have a variety of online travel platforms that cater to different aspects of travel and accommodation. These platforms include Invia.cz, travelplanet.pl, which offers a wide range of summer and winter tours; Ab-in-den-Urlaub.de, which provides last-minute trips, vacation packages, apartments, flights, rental cars, and a platform that provides flight offers from over 550 airlines; and several others, each specializing in various facets of travel and accommodation.

We merged operations from different countries to form the current Invia Group, a dominant online player in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) regions.

We are a dynamic and innovative travel company seeking a talented Product Owner with strong technical acumen to join our team. This role focuses on managing and evolving our backend systems, which form the backbone of our website. Responsibilities

• Product Ownership:
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure features and technical initiatives are aligned with the overall product goals.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Act as the primary point of contact between other teams, business stakeholders, engineering managers, and development teams.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements
• Challenge technical solutions proposed by teams to ensure alignment with product goals and feasibility.
• Technical Acumen:
• Develop a deep understanding of the backend systems powering our website.
• Discuss technical details with engineering teams to make informed decisions.
• Evaluate technical challenges and provide input on their impact on the product.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure scalability and reliability of integrations.
• Data-Driven Decision Making:
• Leverage data analysis to identify trends, make decisions, and measure product performance.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
• Use data insights to prioritize initiatives and refine the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or in a similar role in a technical environment.
• Experience working with backend systems or APIs is a strong advantage.
  
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, with the ability to discuss and challenge solutions with technical teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Team spirit, proactivity, strong time management and organizational skills
• English at a communicative level (international teams)
• Tools:
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, DataDog etc.).
